The Industrial Development Authority of the County Washington, Missouri, known as the Washington County Industrial Development Authority, was established in 1979 and chartered as a quasi-government. The organization is supported by a ½ cent sales tax that has passed 5 consecutive ballots for 6-year options that began in 1993. The board of directors is governed by a 7-members appointed by the Washington County Commission and advocated by the Executive Director.
Our approach is to utilize marketing endeavors to solicit business manufacturing and industry to locate to Washington County, Missouri by exploiting our area as a great place to do business and enjoy life. We partner with the Missouri Partnership to provide leads for regional, state and global inquiries; Meramec Regional Planning Commission provides regional resources and support on projects; Missouri Department of Economic Development to provide resources for Missouri’s current programs.
We provide local incentives being a Missouri Certified Industrial Park, Enhanced Enterprise Zone, Opportunity Zone and Revolving Loan Funds available both locally and regionally as well as build to suit options in the Industrial Park.
