The Board of Directors for the Washington County Industrial Development Authority met on December 3, 2024 for the final meeting of the year. The board had a variety of topics and projects to discuss, mostly centered around end of year reporting, budgeting, insurance renewals, and other administrative tasks for compliance purposes.
Consulting Director, Rowe, provided an update on progress in planning for the upcoming Sales Tax for Economic Development campaign. The central message of the campaign “Everyone Benefits” was briefly presented with more information to come. The Campaign Committee is scheduled to meet in December and a formal filing of the committee will take place in January of 2025. Rowe also presented ideas to the Board for pursuing a master plan for the Industrial Park in the coming year to prepare for extended utility infrastructure timelines.
