The Board of Directors for the Washington County Industrial Development Authority met on June 2, 2026. The board had a variety of topics and projects to discuss, but here are the highlights from the meeting:

IDA Board Meeting Highlights (June 2, 2026)

  • Opportunity Zone 2.0: Director Rowe informed the board that the application for an Opportunity Zone which includes Hopewell, Springtown, Irondale, portions of Mineral Point, and portions of Potosi, was submitted to the State of Missouri for consideration.   • Community Investment: The board approved a Platinum level sponsorship with the Washington County Chamber of Commerce in the amount of $1500.

  • Leadership Updates: Director Rowe updated the board on recent events and meetings, including the upcoming Annual Missouri Economimc Development Conference beginning on the evening of June 2 – June 4 at Lake of the Ozarks.  Director Rowe will receive current policy, best practices, and further training on economic development.

Director Rowe updated the board on various tasks from the previous month before moving into executive session.
