The Washington County Industrial Development Authority is pleased to announce Purcell Tire & Rubber Company has acquired an 8-acre site in the Washington County Industrial Park for the development of an industrial site. The company will soon break ground on a 44,000+ square foot warehouse, distribution center, and fleet repair shop, adding a number of jobs to the local workforce. 

Purcell Tire and Washington County Industrial Development Authority will host a ground-breaking event on August 13, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the site, 10505 Industrial Park Drive, Mineral Point, MO 63660. This expansion project, which has been in the works for many months, represents a $5.3 million investment in the local economy. 

Purcell Tire & Rubber Company has been working in close partnership with the Missouri Department of Economic Development, Washington County Commission and Washington County Industrial Development Authority to bring this project to fruition. “I’m excited to see the expansion and commitment Purcell has made to Washington County. Purcell is one of our largest employers, so this is great news!” said Dave Sansegraw, Presiding Commissioner of Washington County.

The new warehouse facility is designed to streamline Purcell Tire & Rubber Company’s distribution processes and improve vehicle maintenance services, reinforcing their commitment to providing top-notch service to their customers. The addition of new jobs will help strengthen the local workforce and provide new opportunities for the community.
